ABOUT PASTOR JAKE

Pastor Jake is originally from Boulder, Colorado and begin serving at Real Life in August of 2021. He has been serving in full time ministry since 2016 with his wife Carly. They currently have one child, born in 2020. Jake's passion is for others to come to know the love and grace that is available to them from Jesus Christ.

 

Under Pastor Jake, Real Life has relaunched as a body of believers commited to reaching people. He often says that the Church in not the walls or the chairs; the Church is the PEOPLE.

 

Pastor Jake values relationships with people and would love to get to know you. Whether it is hiking around Central Oregon or connecting over coffee, Pastor Jake would love to spend time with you.

We are a community of Real people walking through Christian Life together. We INVITE others to MEET Jesus, to KNOW His love for them and GROW in their walk with Him, and to prepare them to SERVE in His Kingdom and FOLLOW Christ's teachings until His return.

We strive to be a church that is for PEOPLE. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. We believe that this is done one person; one family at a time. Every person matters to Jesus and therefore ALL PEOPLE matter at Real Life.

We highly value being REAL. This means that we are honest in our relationships. We want people to be themselves. Our services are casual and comfortable; dealing with current life changing principles from Scripture that are applicable today.

SMALL BEGINNINGS

  1. Founded in 2001 by Pastor and Church Planter Bill Putman
  2. Merged with Pilot Butte Christian Church in 2004
  3. Relaunched under new leadership in 2020
  4. Welcomed Pastor Jake and Family in August 2021

Pastor Jake and his wife started at Real Life in 2021. He has a true heart for the Bend community. He hopes to see growth and transformation in Bend that is avaible from Christ.

Greg has been a faithful member at Real Life and has stepped into multiple leadership roles. From kids to adults Greg builds relationships centered on Jesus.

Carly Burke

Worship and Marketing Directer

Carly came to Real Life with her husband in 2021. She began leading the music about one year later. Her favorite place to be is listening as the body lifts a united voice back to the father in heaven.
